Meet the woman
behind the table.

Born on May 17, 1937, Brigitta celebrates her 90th birthday on May 17, 2027. Oma B lives independently in Florida, where she still sets a beautiful table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

China, crystal, linens, flowers, and care: these are part of her everyday life. She shares photographs of her meals with her family, little glimpses of the beauty she continues to create.

Her story reaches back to Germany: the house before the Schloss, Schloss Gottorf in Schleswig, where she lived while her father was a prisoner of war, and the hotel and dance parlor where she met Gordon, our Opa. The Schloss is now a museum, where the china she played with as a child is on display.

This is her story, told by the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family who have been fortunate enough to gather around her table.
